Though I hold a special place for each of these tunes on this record. "Enjoy the Ride" might be my favorite Song off this CD.
It was one of those Key West Mondays that are usually spent getting over the weekend. But this particular Monday morning I was practicing and fooling around with an idea that had been in my head for a few days. Then like a bolt of lightning this song started coming down and in 45 minutes it was finished. Mac MacAnally once told me that when a song starts happening, be ready with pen and paper and get ready. So that's what I did. As the 3rd verse was going down I was laughing and thinking that I would get back to it. "Just finish it" is what I kept telling myself. As it turns out the 3rd verse is my favorite and is the perfect ending for the song and that weekend.
